Coldfusion Web Server Dodo [Resolved]

The ColdFusion web server Dodo is currently down. A migration to new hardware and a fresh install of the Operating System was done during our maintenance window last night. The new server is having permissions issues and the old server is forcing a chkdsk. This has the full attention of our shared administrators who are currently working on both.

[Update: 4/19/2012 @ 2:11PM Eastern]

A baremetal restore in progress as a backup. Administrators are continuing to work on both servers while this runs.

[Update: 4/19/2012 @ 4:09PM Eastern]

Both physical and virtual servers are currently being built and deployed as a contingency.

[Update: 4/19/2012 @ 8:08PM Eastern]

The migrated server was repaired, and around 6:30 PM sites began serving again. There may be some residual issues with SSL certificates but most functionality has been restored at this time.

Is there an ETA for sites on Dodo to be operational?

      Hi Lee,

Here’s where we are at as of 5PM EST:

Unfortunately no concrete ETA at this time.

The status updates provided in the post are still relevant:
      – The baremetal restore is at about 12%
      – A replacement server has just finished building, but copying over data is still going to take some time
      – This is a high priority by our our server admins who work around the clock until resolved

A more formal status update will be added to the post later this evening.
