.NET Servers Updated to Medium Trust

This past weekend, all shared Windows servers with .NET framework (versions 1.1.x, 2.0.x, 4.0.x) were updated from Full trust to Medium trust level. We made these important updates for security reasons — Full Trust level can allow for various types of compromises that otherwise wouldn’t be possible in a Medium Trust environment.

As a result, you may find that your application no longer works as-is under the new trust level. Most of the common issues that arise when moving from Full to Medium trust can be resolved with an update to your web.config or application pool settings. If you are recently experiencing any .NET application errors (e.g. insufficient permissions, unable to access, DLL not registered, etc.), please contact Support by submitting a ticket in your Control Panel, or calling 1-877-215-HOST (4678) and we can help to troubleshoot the error. Thank you!
