[UPDATE 5/15 @ 2:30PM ET]

We have now completed the audit of all impacted severs and accounts, and we are well underway in implementing measures to mitigate the attack. We now anticipate having all impacted sites back on-line within the next 4 hours, and will provide another progress update at 4pm ET.

———————————————————————————–

During a routine security scan, we detected accounts on a few Linux servers that were compromised. To protect the security of the data on these servers, we have disabled these hosts and are actively working to move the accounts to a new server. This process takes time, as we need to be careful not to inadvertently move any compromised accounts or files onto the new environment.

We are working to have sites these sites back up and running within 48 hours, and hopefully much sooner than that.

We know how important your website is to your business, and we apologize for the inconvenience – rest assured this is our top priority, and our team is working as fast as possible to get the affected sites back on-line.

We will continually update this post with our progress in moving sites over.

Regards,
The HostMySite Security Team
